How It Works

We have a number of SAR Team members who have experience in Mental Health First Aid, or who are otherwise trained in wellbeing.

They’re registered on the site and each one will make a post in the Introductions forum.

In order to start an anonymous conversation with someone:
Register an account with an anonymous username
Log in and have a read of some of the Introduction posts
– Choose someone you’d be happy to start a conversation with
– Start a private message by clicking the SEND PM link under their name.

Once you’re logged in, you’ll see a MESSAGES menu at the top of the page (or in the ≡ menu on mobile)

Your messages will be presented just like an email programme, and you’ll also receive an email alert when someone replies.

You DO NOT have to make your own Introduction post if you don’t want anyone else to contact you for support.

If you are currently experiencing symptoms of crisis – considering harm or suicide – this peer-based support is not appropriate, and you are strongly advised to call 999 for an ambulance, or get yourself to A&E. If you are already in contact with Crisis Team (or your local mental health crisis support system), please call them now.
